Do the logs have to dry before they can be used?
No, that could take a long time, lumber is usually sawn green. New houses and buildings constructed from timber often take up to a year to dry out. My condo had a lot of shrinkage and wall gaps appeared and were taken care of by the builder a year after we moved in.

@@c2100 I'm not sure, I only found out yesterday. 1920 something I'd imagine. I've always had a soft spot for them. Some of the mods they do to them are amazing.

I've been known to tell people visiting Tasmania to prepare themselves for a trip back in time. Many aspects remind me of the 1950's - 1970's.

Apparently caught on at Waihi Beach tennis club.
Enjoyed doing the trip again from the comfort of my Laziboy instead of the driver's seat. ICHy Wings is currently undergoing a top overhaul on two cylinders with low compression readings.
It's the the way to enjoy. I hope only new rings are needed.

Excellent work. Extremely clean. Do you have a website showing more ? Are these scaled down reproductions or the old school real thing? What kind of power output do you get, would be very useful to drive an alternator / generator or pump with a belt.
